Alexander Forbes is the contributing poet of Rumours of Bees: Paintings of Tricia Sellmer, Poems of Alexander Forbes (Red Heifer Press) and the author of Oranges: A Novella for Puppets (Gracesprings Collective). His poems, essays and reviews have appeared in literary journals across Canada and the United States, including Canadian Literature, the Haight Ashbury Literary Journal, Frogpond, The Rocky Mountain Review, Mosaic, Fan, RAW NerVZ, Woodnotes, Modern Haiku, pine beetle REVIEW, and many others, as well as in a number of gallery catalogues documenting collaborative exhibitions with Tricia Sellmer. Forbes's work has also appeared in more than one collection, including the anthology Sentences & Paroles (New Star Press). Two CD's of his poems have been produced by gold-album composer Henry Small, with readings by the celebrated singer Tina Moore: The Bill Miner Roadshow, and the beauty of the city in the last hour of the night. Forbes teaches at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, B.C.
