Mary Tasi graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1980 with an honours degree in Environmental Studies. She worked in the urban planning and design profession for over 20 years in Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia.
Mary was born in Hampshire, England. She has lived in Toronto, Oakville, and Ottawa. She is descended from an ancient Hungarian lineage, and has spent many years researching her ancestry.
She has also lived within the Squamish Nation on the North Shore of Vancouver since 1995. As a result, she has developed a keen insight and understanding of coastal First Nation's customs, wisdom, and oral storytelling traditions.
Today, she lives in Vancouver with her daughter, Hungarian Puli dog Mutzi and her husband, award winning west coast artist Wade Baker. This is her first book. When not spending time writing or on her cultural art/design business skyspiritstudio, she enjoys yoga and long ocean walks.Website: www.facebook.com/spiritmemorythebookBook(s):
