Joel Garbon is co-author of Breakthrough Power: How Quantum-Leap New Energy Inventions Can Transform Our World. He is an industrial scientist from Portland, Oregon, and president of a nonprofit educational organization (New Energy Movement.org.) With a Bachelor of Science degree in applied science from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, he has been an industrial science consultant for the chemical, pulp and paper, water treatment and building products industries and taught chemistry. He is a member of environmental groups including Sierra Club and Northwest Environmental Business Council.
He co-authored a draft Energy Innovation Act presented to senators and representatives of the U.S. Congress.
