Author and spiritual teacher Mieke Blommestein has been inspiring young readers since she wrote her first book, the Tale of Miss Spider who spun her web. Born in Holland, she was educated at the college in Amersfoort. At 49, a profound inner transformation radically changed the course of her life. She spent the next few years devoted to understanding, integrating and deepening that transformation, which she says marked the beginning of an intense inward journey.
Since 1982, Blommestein has lived in Revelstoke, Canada. While in Revelstoke, she began to work with individuals and small groups as a meditation and spiritual teacher. Through her writings and as a meditation and spiritual teacher, her simple yet profound teachings have already helped people find inner peace and greater fulfillment in their lives. The messages she directs at children through her simple stories encourage kids to be happy, honest, loving and truthful and to embrace change.
Blommestein is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition and her stories are simple and direct. They use animal characters and situations to provide moral guidance and a clear understanding of the power of love for our fellow creatures. The text is simple, easy for youngsters to understand, yet conveys the message of love and harmony so well. Website: www.StoriesFromMYSoul.comBook(s):
