Elaine was a legendary trailblazer, achieving numerous pioneering firsts in Canadian Sports History. At age 15, Elaine Tanner was named as Canada's Greatest Athlete of the Year. Awarded Canada's Highest Citizen Medal 'The Officer of The Order of Canada', she is a triple Olympic Medalist and 5 Time World Record Holder in Swimming. Inducted into 7 Sports Halls of Fame, including International Aquatic Hall USA, she was also voted one of Canada's All Time 50 Greatest Athletes in History.
Elaine has assisted many athletes and others on their own personal journeys and is currently writing her second book titled Quest Beyond Gold due to be published in 2016. Presently Elaine and her husband John Watt spend their time between the West Coast of BC and Ontario. They are passionate advocates on many social issues.
