Nina Shoroplova is an author, editor, and book coach.
In 1979, Douglas & McIntyre published Nina's first book, Cattle Ranch: The Story of the Douglas Lake Cattle Company (by Nina G. Woolliams). At the time, she lived at Douglas Lake - Canada's largest cattle ranch - but then moved to Australia to a sheep and cattle property, and later returned to Canada in 1984.
Nina has been actively pursuing a spiritual path since 1976, when she had a spiritually transformative experience. This path continues to broaden her horizons. More recently, she has been working as a holistic healer for body-mind-spirit integration and is well versed in the fields of alternate healing, Western healing, spiritual and soul growth, psychic and spiritual arts, and metaphysics.
A Communications Major from Simon Fraser University, Nina loves working with words. As an editor and book coach, she is able to assess the best structure to support a story while ensuring that the detail delivering it is accurate and preserves the integrity of the writer's voice. She has been working with writers and authors since the mid-1980s in a range of capacities: newsletter publisher, correspondent for the federal government, editor (structural, stylistic, substantive, and copy), proof reader, production editor, copywriter, and website creator. Her favourite genres for editing are spiritual, inspirational, and self-help non-fiction, but she has also edited a number of children's books, travel books, books by professional athletes, and fiction books.
In 2015, Influence Publishing launched Nina's second book, Trust the Mystery: Questions, Quotes, and Quantum Wisdom. Nina is a co-leader of the Vancouver Chapter of IANDS, the International Association for Near Death Studies. She is currently writing her third book, which brings together two current passions: embracing death back into life and raising human consciousness.Website: www.ninashoroplova.caBook(s):
