Gerry was born in 1940, in Rouyn, Quebec. In 1966, he received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Montreal. Fluent in both French and English, he was employed with Teck/Cominco, a major mining and smelting company for 32 years, in Trail, Kimberley and Pine Point,Northwest Territories. He retired in 1998. His one and only financial advisor turned out to be dishonest, which prompted him to educate himself about investments to manage his own savings portfolios. After intensively studying this industry for 15 years, he decided to share his knowledge by publishing a book, 'Investing My Way - Become a Do-It-Yourself Investor and Save Thousands of Dollars in Fees'.
Gerry's passion is downhill skiing. He and his wife spend summers at their cabin in the East Kootenays where he does a lot of windsurfing and hiking. He also holds a private pilot license. Website: www.investingmyway.caBook(s):
